Garland Cultural Arts
The Granville Arts Center, which opened in 2003, provides two beautiful theatres with seating for 720, and 200. The Arts Complex also includes the Plaza Theatre, located on the Square in downtown Garland. The Plaza Theatre seats 350. All three theatres have computerized lighting systems and state of the art technology.
The Granville Center is home to the Garland Civic Theatre's Children On Stage, the Garland Civic Theatre, the Garland Summer Musicals, the Garland Symphony Orchestra Association, and the Jim Henderson Garland Chorale. Events at the Granville Arts Center and the Plaza Theatre can be found in the Arts In Action newsletter (Arts In Action), the Garland City Press Community/Arts pages (Arts News), and the Calendar of Events. Monthly art exhibits are shown in the Granville Arts Center Lobby.
